LumoTray 2.3.5 for Windows and Mac Beta 2
LumoTray 2.3.5 improves screensavers, downloads, tray menus, and custom shortcuts on Windows, while Mac beta 2 brings startup and app-lifecycle fixes.
LumoTray 2.3.5 for Windows and LumoTray 1.0.0-beta.2 for Mac are arriving together with a focused set of reliability and usability improvements.
LumoTray 2.3.5 for Windows
The Windows update fixes a crash that could occur when the Slideshow screensaver encountered an image Windows could not decode. Wallhaven downloads now retry when a connection closes prematurely, reducing occasional image failures.
Classic tray and custom menus also receive several refinements:
- Improved classic tray menu spacing while preserving full-width highlights, separators, and standard submenu arrows
- Fixed ICO favicons and other icons sometimes appearing blank
- Fixed shortcuts failing to launch applications that expect their installation folder as the working directory
After you have had time to use LumoTray, the app may also occasionally ask you to rate it on the Microsoft Store.
LumoTray 1.0.0-beta.2 for Mac
The second Mac beta fixes Matrix wallpapers sometimes timing out during startup when a display is asleep or the new renderer is still hidden.
Closing Settings with Command-Q, or choosing Quit from its temporary Dock icon, now closes the Settings window while keeping LumoTray available in the menu bar. To exit the app completely, use Quit from the LumoTray status menu.
The license reminder has also been revised to explain the optional one-time license and its benefits more clearly.
Existing Mac users can receive beta.2 through LumoTray's automatic updater. New users can download it from the Mac page.
