Overview
LumoTray is developed independently by Luis. The website and applications are designed to collect as little personal information as practical. LumoTray does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Website analytics
Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load only after you choose “Allow.” If you choose “Refuse,” neither service loads. Your choice is stored in your browser so the site can remember it, and you can change or revoke it through “Privacy choices” in the footer.
When enabled, analytics may process page URLs, referral information, interactions, approximate location derived from an IP address, and general device and browser information. Advertising storage and personalization are disabled. Private purchase-recovery pages do not load analytics or the analytics consent script.
Purchases and licenses
Paddle is the merchant of record and processes payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and receipt information under its own privacy policy. LumoTray receives and stores the purchaser’s email address, name or chosen license name, license type, and—when relevant—company name and seat count. It also stores Paddle transaction and customer identifiers, purchase status, the issued license, and delivery status so the purchase can be fulfilled, supported, and recovered.
The recovery link contains a private random token. Anyone with the link can view the associated license, so it should be kept private. Unpaid checkout records that remain abandoned are automatically removed after 30 days.
Application diagnostics
The apps may send privacy-filtered handled-error reports, crash or hang information, and approved low-cardinality usage events. These reports are used to diagnose failures and understand broad feature use.
Most error reports go to a private Bugsink installation hosted and controlled by Luis. LumoTray uses the Sentry SDK to prepare those events, but does not send them to Sentry’s hosted service. Some critical reports may instead be delivered through LumoTray’s website and forwarded to the private support mailbox. That intake can include the report body, IP address, and user-agent string.
Diagnostic filtering is designed to exclude user-provided file paths, URLs, display identifiers, email addresses, license or customer data, provider queries, API keys, access tokens, screenshots, and view hierarchies. Local diagnostic logs are bounded and kept for a limited period.
Feedback and support
Feedback is sent only after you use the Send action. A message is required and an email address is optional. LumoTray stores the submitted message, email address, IP address, user-agent string, and submission time, and forwards the message to the private support mailbox. Support emails and operational alerts are handled through the same mailbox.
Retention and deletion
Purchase and license records are kept while they are needed for validation, recovery, accounting, fraud handling, or support. Feedback, diagnostics, and related technical records may be kept while useful for support, security, and product improvement. There is currently no shorter fixed deletion schedule for these records. You may request access, correction, or deletion; some records may need to be retained where required for legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
External content
LumoTray can display websites and retrieve content from services selected or configured by the user, including image providers. Those services receive ordinary network information and operate under their own privacy policies.
